Comments: "Mr. Peterson, I purchased your book about 3 weeks ago, when I was on a business trip to Florida. Sometimes I go into a book store not knowing what I am going to buy. I will peruse the shelves waiting for a book to jump out at me. If the same book attracts my attention several times, that is usually the book I will buy. Your book attracted my attention numerous times, but I didn't like the title. Then an inner voice firmly told me, "BUY THE BOOK!" Obviously, I obeyed. I read the entire book on my trip home. It was a quick and very fascinating read. I could not wait to share it with my wife. I was particularly amazed to discover that you now live in Las Vegas. My wife and I moved to Las Vegas for the winters about 2 years ago. I was on a business trip to Las Vegas with my wife in 1999 when the idea struck us that it would be a great place to spend the winter each year once our youngest child went off to college. We are both into hiking and exploring sacred sites and we looked at Las Vegas as a great central location from which to explore some areas of the west which had intrigued us for years. From the beginning of our relationship in 1991, it has been built upon a mutual spiritual path that has taken us to many places around the world and that has involved us in numerous spiritual experiences which are difficult to share with most people. Early on I tried sharing them with many of my friends and they thought I was crazy. Most of those frienships have waned since then but new friendships have filled the void. My wife has tried to warn me about being discreet in sharing my experiences but my excitement often overcomes me even to this day. Her experiences have been ongoing since childhood, but mine really began when I met her. We both agree that sharing our experiences with others is important, but she is much more reserved about it because of the ridicule that she has suffered over the years. The move to Las Vegas stunned most of our friends. They didn't see anything spiritual about the place and frankly did not see us fitting in here. However, we were convinced that many exciting adventures awaited us in the west and that Las Vegas would be the perfect place from which to seek them out (or better yet, let the experiences find us). Much to our delight we have been "found" several times since moving to Las Vegas and now your book has "found" me in Bonita Springs, FL. I am a direct decendant of Roger Sherman who drafted all three documents of the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation & the Constitution. He did say that he was visited by the Christ in his prison and the Christ encouraged him to begin negotiations with the government of South Africa. He had a top hat that was open at the top and terrible lumps on his hands and bare feet despite it being cold. I gave him some cash and we muttered something as we walked round each other on the narrow path. I realised that as I was training in homeopathy I should get him some help but when I turned around, despite being able to see for a long distance, there was no-one there. I felt really well for ages afterwards. Years later I remembered when telling someone that I did a few therapies and had become a one man band, maybe it was a prediction! I went to Georgetown Univ. and graduated one year later the LLM program (human rights focus). In 1996 I married and came to Switzerland. I started to have back pains and I knew the problem is more related to my soul than to my body. A therapist told me to read your book. I did that with a lot of interest. It opened horisons but also raised questions. If Maitreya and his Masters want to help the people, why do not they just do it? Why do people kill each other every day in all parts of the world ? Why is Romania, my country, confronted with such a big and long political and economical desaster ? In Romania people truely believe in God. However, it seems that there is no God's hand to help them find the right political and economical strategy. Poverty is far more spread than during the evil communist times."
(response: You speak of the problems humanity has living in Romania. In fact, there are many countries with huge numbers of people suffering from lack of proper food, clothing, and housing. This is not the proper work of Maitreya and the Masters to solve but rather the work of humanity to correct. Our purpose in life is to be aware of the needs of others and take action. Maitreya will, however, provide humanity with a plan to solve our problems. The plan will be very useful but only humanity can do the work. Maitreya knows that the free will of humanity prevents Him from direct action to save us from ourselves. He can, and will now help us very directly because we are beginning to ask for His guidance.
